Participants in the annual Laurelton Memorial Day Parade marched through the streets of southeast Queens Monday morning. The procession began at Francis Lewis and Merrick boulevards and concluded at the Veterans Memorial Triangle, at 225th Street and North Conduit Avenue, where the names of military members’ names were read during a somber ceremony. Elected officials, including U.S. Rep. Gregory Meeks, Assemblyman William Scarborough, state Sens. Malcolm Smith and James Sanders, Public Advocate Letitia James, Deputy Borough President Leroy Comrie, former Comptroller John Liu and Councilmen I. Daneek Miller and Donovan Richards, were in attendance.
